44 commentsThrough the magic of StumbleUpon, I found this gem of a video of Dick (ha) Masterson, the very epitome of a chauvinistic ignoramus, on Dr. Phil. You may need to pick your jaw up off the floor after this one. Part of me thinks that he's adopted most of this views purely for shock value and fame because it's just so outrageous and unfathomable that someone can be this painfully stupid.
Fuck you, Dick. Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you. Don't even bother going to his website - you'll inevitable vomit all over your computer screen.
Recently, I saw his book in a Barnes & Noble and was highly repulsed. Unfortunately, I didn't have my "THIS INSULTS WOMEN" stickers at the time, or else I would've slapped a couple of them on his stupid fucking cover. Next time I'm in a bookstore, it's on.

What Dick Masterson is about is satire, which is an exaggeration of the truth. The truth is that feminism is fundamentally flawed because its based on the idea that women should be equals to men, despite the fact that most women prefer a man that is better than her for a sexual partner. To be equals, a woman needs to "be" an equal in any context, whether it be at work or in a relationship, instead of "feeling" like one, which is what most women only care about. Men are standing up to this hypocrisy and that is one reason why the marriage strike is occurring.

I think his mother abused him when he was little. So when he grew up he wanted to get payback but instead of targeting his mum he stereotypes the entire female population as worthless bitches and whores. Have you seen how he looks though? Dick's arguments and examples of situations which 'prove' that men are better than women, are totally skewed. He paints women as people who use their sexuality to get things, as people without ability and as non-thinking beings. His picture of a woman is a dumb, incapable, manipulative human who is only fit to be used for sex and for giving birth to children. Such women do exist - but then, there are dumb people everywhere; it is just a matter of statistics. It is totally irrational to pick on a few empty headed women and through their example, declare that they represent all of womankind! This is exactly what Dick does. For instance, he says that a woman is incapable of fixing a flat tyre in case of an emergency. I'd like to state that I am a student, an engineer, in a very prestigious university and I do everything on my own - I fix all my appliances without male help, have engineered my own bike - everything is self taught. Women have historically been suppressed for generations - which is why the point he makes about there not being a female Mozart or Beethovan (which in his view conclusively proves that women are not capable of intellectual greatness) makes little sense. For instance, the fraction of patents possessed by women increased fivefold between 1980 and 1995. I don't have the latest figures, but isn't it obvious that repression of women prevented them from publicly creating and propogating inventions? There is historical evidence to show that a few centuries back, many crucial inventions were made by women, but the credit and patents were taken by men. My point is that intelligent analysis and not some random diatribe is what Dick needs to perform.

When I first came across his website, by accident, I really couldn't believe it. Then I got angry, really angry. I found out who the server for the site was and complained. They shut him down for about 48 hours. He went absolutely ballistic and when the site was back up he put up some rant about how and why he won the battle. Now I really regret wasting the energy because he is a sad and pathetic little boy. He truly has the emotional maturity of about a fourth grader. But what is REALLY sad, is that he got as much attention as he did, that his book is available for sale. Such ignorance should not be given any air time. It was really quite satisfying, however, watching Dr Phil completely deflate him by telling his that he was a childish and immature person. I think the best thing about Dickless, I mean Dick, is that just by karma alone, he is totally screwed. If he keeps spewing misogyny, he's gonna get his. Sad bastard.

What he says does carry some truth, although I think he have exaggerated it a bit.
Women are indeed unthinking under CERTAIN circumstance. After all, who are interested in debating with women? Most of the time they simply emote in an irrational manner and make all the logical mistakes you can think of.
Women also love to tell a lot of lies about their gender. They say that they are/were oppressed, they are nicer, they are fairer, and all these are lies. So it is true that statistically speaking, they are the most anti-intellectual class of people on earth.
Do women have their values? Of course yes, but I am REALLY annoyed by their anti-intellectual nature.

I agree with Trauma Queen. This is over-the-top satire. Reverse everything he says about men and women, reverse it, and you have what lots of feminists are saying. His point, quite obvious to anyone with a sense of humor, is that what passes for feminism is in fact chauvinism in disguise. For instance, yes it does attract some genuinely misogynistic men... so do feminist sites attract some genuinely misandric women (such as this one). I think his stuff is brilliant, especially his comedic timing.
