Recently, a New Mexico Republican women's group, the Republican Women of Otero County, has come under scrutiny for their extremely poor choice of words when talking about Barack Obama. Their claims? Obama is a "Muslim socialist" and "Muslims are our enemies." In an interview, the head of the group said:

"I don't trust them at all. They've sworn across the world that they are our enemies. Why we're trying to elect one is beside me."

Nice.

The head of the group, Marcia Stirman, will be asked to step down from her position. Rightfully so. But these racist and ignorant ideals are still way too prominent in this election.
