Jay Leno successfully puts his foot in his mouth

Argh, I meant to post about this earlier. It's a tad late now, but I'll assume that not all of you are aware of it.
Recently, Jay Leno (ahem) had Ryan Phillippe on his show as a guest. Phillippe stated that one of his earliest TV roles was playing a gay teenager on "One Life to Live." Leno's response? Telling Phillippe to look into the camera and give everyone his "gayest look."
Gayest look? Seriously? Leno then went on to make a tired "Brokeback Mountain" reference in saying, "Pretend your lover, Billy Bob, just rode in shirtless from Wyoming." Phillippe looked remarkably uncomfortable and declined.
Little did Leno anticipate, that minor statement caused a huge backlash. "Avenue Q" playwright Jeff Whitty teamed up with Melissa McEwan from Shakesville to create MyGayestLook.com, a site dedicated to people sending in pictures of their "gayest looks," all of which involve flipping off Jay Leno. People from all over the country sent in their pictures, until finally, Leno issued an apology.
"In talking about Ryan's first role, I realize that what I said came out wrong. I certainly didn't mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say, and I apologize."
Yee-haw! I'm stoked that these people made such an enormous impact. They may still be collecting pictures just for fun over at MyGayestLook.com, so go ahead and send in yours. I took the liberty of taking a picture of me (left), kissing my girlfriend (right) as part of our "gayest look."

Agh, I wish that picture had been taken before Leno issued the apology. Oh well. It's still a good picture, regardless of whether or not he gets to see it.

Leno really isn't that funny. He also recently made a joke about my home town. Pretty much saying the reason that guy had sex with a picnic table is because none of the women there are attractive. They didn't really take into account the fact that he's married...

and to elijah... how nice of him to say that... of course taking the blame off of a man who HAD SEX WITH A PICNIC TABLE to place it on women for not being attractive enough to lure this catch of a man.
