A good wife always knows her place

I'm sure some of you have already seen this, but it's worth posting for those of you who haven't. It's "The Good Wife's Guide" from Housekeeping Monthly in 1955. My Sociology of Gender professor handed it out in class and we were all extremely appalled. It's almost laughable.

    wow. i couldn't help but laugh while reading it. "remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours."

    i'm still having trouble understanding that people seriously thought that way.

    It is hilarious, but what most amaze me is that it is so old, I mean it is from a very different time, a lot had changed since then.

    you know what is the place of my wife? here to my side, sharing the life with me, the bads and goods moment of our life, sharing all in our lifes, but more than other thing, the place of my wife is here insade my heart.
