Size four model fired for being 'too fat'

As if we needed another reason to hate Ralph Lauren, it has now come out that the model they were caught photoshopping to look emaciated and distorted has been fired. Why did they fire her? Because at 5'10 and 120 pounds, she was too fat.

TOO FAT?! She's a size FOUR!

I hate the fashion industry. Hate it.

What next?

Please don't hate all of us in the industry. Some of us are trying to change things - I'm a fashion designer who is trying very hard to start the right way. Getting my materials from fair trade companies or all-natural organic materials, having it produced by myself or by US workers getting paid a fair wage (even women's co-ops in other countries get paid less than the garment is worth), and moving towards better, cleaner, and more responsible fashion.

This honestly makes my blood boil. This is the exact reason why I hate my body and feel like a horrible person everytime I eat a cookie. Society has become so demanding that now models cant even keep up. The idealized body type of the new age woman has become so skinny, it is almost like the body of a 12 year-old boy. Its distgusting to me. I would kill to have that woman's body!

Harry was ready to bet that the Dursleys hadn’t understood a single word of this. They were still gaping at Mr. Weasley, thun¬derstruck. Aunt Petunia staggered upright again and hid behind Uncle Vernon.
“Hello, Harry!” said Mr. Weasley brightly. “Got your trunk ready?”
“It’s upstairs,” said Harry, grinning back.
“We’ll get it,” said Fred at once. Winking at Harry, he and George left the room. They knew where Harry’s bedroom was, hav¬ing once rescued him from it in the dead of night. Harry suspected that Fred and George were hoping for a glimpse of Dudley; they had heard a lot about him from Harry.
“Well,” said Mr. Weasley, swinging his arms slightly, while he tried to find words to break the very nasty silence. “Very — erm — very nice place you’ve got here.”
As the usually spotless living room was now covered in dust and bits of brick, this remark didn’t go down too well with the Durs¬leys. Uncle Vernon’s face purpled once more, and Aunt Petunia started chewing her tongue again. However, they seemed too scared to actually say anything.

“I is not doing magic with it, sir!” squealed Winky, tears stream¬ing down the sides of her squashed and bulbous nose. “I is … I is … I is just picking it up, sir! I is not making the Dark Mark, sir, I is not knowing how!”
“It wasn’t her!” said Hermione. She looked very nervous, speak¬ing up in front of all these Ministry wizards, yet determined all the same. “Winky’s got a squeaky little voice, and the voice we heard doing the incantation was much deeper!” She looked around at Harry and Ron, appealing for their support. “It didn’t sound any¬thing like Winky, did it?”
“No,” said Harry, shaking his head. “It definitely didn’t sound like an elf.”
“Yeah, it was a human voice,” said Ron.
“Well, we’ll soon see,” growled Mr. Diggory, looking unim¬pressed. “There’s a simple way of discovering the last spell a wand performed, elf, did you know that?”
