Glamour has modern celebs portray famous women of the past

In honor of Women's History Month (woooo!) Glamour put together a photo shoot in which young female celebrities posed as famous historical women.

They each also said a little something about the woman they were imitating. My only problem with this shoot was that they had all these accomplished and strong women who did these amazing things, and then they had...
Carrie Bradshaw? What? She's not even a real person. And as much of a guilty pleasure Sex and the City is for me, I can't say she's exactly up-to-par with the other women role models on this list.

I saw that too, and thought it was awesome! Especially since the celebrities all seemed to have something positive to say about the women being smart, strong, etc. I also was surprised that Carrie Bradshaw was one of the women depicted. When SATC first came out, I was like "oh, a show about unapologetic women having sex 'like men'"... but most of the time their characters were intent on fitting men's standards, pleasing men, being mindless consumers, etc... or at least that's the vibe I got. Oh well, I like the rest of the pictures so it's okay.

Yeah, that's one of the "huh?" moments I had when going through these slides. Some of them are awesome, some of them I could swap out for cooler people, but that one just confused me. The picture of America as Dolores Huerta, however... I'm about to print that out and hang it on my fridge...

one of the most important thing when you're famous is don't forget the people who walked the same way before us, in this case is a excellent tribute to these women.

This is what I'd call glamour because look at those women they are wearing excellent dresses, the last is beautiful, that's the prototype of woman I like.
