Indian airline fires overweight flight attendants

Air India has so tastefully fired 10 women flight attendants who were grounded last year for being overweight. Originally, the women received a mere warning, were given sufficient time to lose weight, and were offered alternative ground assignments. How kind. Last year, Delhi High Court upheld Air India's right to reassign overweight attendants. A lawyer who is representing the "overweight" crew is taking the case to the Supreme Court.

What next?

WoooHOooo! i can't believe this. Indian airline fired women just because they were overweight. It shows that how much it is important for women to maintain their body shape in order to have in profession. This is very obvious that women who work in airline(air hostess) they need to look good. On the other hand, male who work in flight never have that pressure to look good. This is because of that gender norms which are made by society as men always feel good if a woman is charming, skinny and beautiful.
