Anti-choice activists march on Roe v. Wade anniversary

Today is the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Anti-choice activists celebrated by participating in the annual March for Life. An enormous crowd stretched for three blocks on the Mall in Washington, DC, and several speakers gave political speeches, largely about Obama. Rep. Steve King of Iowa asked: "President Obama, when did your life begin?"

Many activists prayed for God to "soften" Obama's heart to get him to stop condoning the "murdering of babies." Good luck with that. They extended an invitation to Obama to attend the march, but he didn't show. My bet is that he has better things to do on his second day as president. The invitation stated, "America needs your strong leadership as president of all the people to stop the intentional killing of an estimated 3,000 pre-born boys and girls each day and the brutalizing of mind, heart and body of pregnant mothers."

I love the last part - the "brutalizing." What's more brutalizing? Giving pregnant women a choice, or standing outside clinics and shouting obscenities at every woman who enters? I love the hypocrisy that plagues the pro-life movement.

What next?
