Yet another sexist music video

Check out this disgusting music video to accompany the song by Theory of a Deadman, "Bad Girlfriend."

A sample of the lyrics:
My girlfriend's a dick magnet
My girlfriend's gotta have it
She's hot, can't stop, up on stage doing shots
Tip the man he'll ring the bell, get her drunk she'll scream like hell
Dirty girl, gettin' down, dance with guys from outta town
Grab her ass, actin' tough,
Mess with her, she'll fuck you up
No one really knows if she's drunk or if she's stoned,
But she's comin' back to my place tonight!

What next?

Yeah, didn't you know? Women like to drink because we want to be fucked, constantly, by any guy.

I wish that one line "mess with her, she'll fuck you up" wasn't wasted on a shit song like this.

    Hmm...

Terrible video (sexist AND poorly filmed) + sounds like crap + poorly written, degrading lyrics = super stars?

Nice to know that this guy has no problem raping his girlfriend while she's under the influence. What great role models for the kiddies.

Damn, watching it with the sound off (I'm in a library!) I maintained a flimsy hope that it would turn out to be sort of ironic. Like the guys are all, woohoo! Strippers! ...wait, that's my girlfriend! The slut! (This would explain the *constant* stripper shots as really rubbing the double standard in the face of the viewer; the guys are clearly there for the women, not just "drinks with the boys," which would make them objecting to *her* partying all the more ridiculous.)

...But then she took him up on stage and I was like, well, nevermind about that then. The guys get rewarded for the douchbaggery anyways, the girlfriend really is just boozy and lustful, and the strippers were just to titillate the audience.

(My friend love this song, too. >.< She can be pretty clueless about the messages she internalizes...)
