School disallows male student to wear makeup

People are so fucking ignorant sometimes. This video from CNN tells the story of a teenage boy who is into the goth look, and likes to wear a little eyeliner and black lipstick. When he wore it to school, administrators told him to take it off because it was distracting. They claim that they would do the same thing to a girl, but I highly doubt someone goes up to every girl wearing eyeliner and lipstick and tells her to remove it.

I hope they can get the school board to see how pigheaded they are being about this. Excessive or distracting makeup would be something like full face paint ala Halloween costume, NOT just some eyeliner and lipstick.
I also doubt they've ever told any girl that her lipstick and eyeliner are distracting, nor do I expect them to ever do so. Down with sexual discrimination in schools!

Was it that the teacher personally found it distracting? Perhaps because it conflicted with her/his views on traditional gender roles?
What a load of crap. So the kid wears make-up to school. He isn't hurting anyone!
I actually knew a guy who got suspended for wearing a skirt to school. Geez, I hate high schools.

Go mama go! Outrageous make up? Yeah you'd wipe it off the face of a girl if hers was outrageous but does that include a little bit of eye liner and lipstick? Not for girls, apparently.

That's discrimination, but in the other hand use make up is kinda twisted don't you think ? for both men or women.
