"When did Jesus talk about gay people?"

I just caught the episode of The Colbert Report where Stephen Colbert sits down with "pro-family" (translation: anti-gay marriage) activist Tony Perkins. He grills Perkins and stumps him so wonderfully when he tries to argue that Paul of the New Testament was against homosexuals, to which Colbert replies, "Paul was also in favor of adult circumcision too."

The look of utter discomfort on Perkins' face is priceless. Read some wonderful quotes and see the entire video here.

What next?

I'm sure the cognitive dissonance was unbearable for Perkins.

I hardly get to watch Colbert Report, and that's the one I caught in quite some time. Colbert wrapped Perkins up. Pretty much amazing.

Great video. I love Colbert, although I will have to take slight issue with him that Paul came out in favor adult circumcision. In fact, quite the opposite. Paul called the Jewish Christians who were pushing circumcision on Gentiles who wished to convert to Christianity, "mutilators of the flesh". Paul was vehemently opposed to it.

Where Colbert REALLY does nail Perkins, however, was when he asked him if he keeps Kosher.
